Flex-Guard / Sound Guard are acoustical underlayment for ceramic tile, stone and hardwood flooring. It is self-bonding sheeting that waterproofs, isolates crack in substrate up to 3/8”, and reduces impact and airborne sounds. This uniquely thin system feature minimizes the need to alter needed clearances of doors, cabinet’s, appliances or other fixtures. Advance technology used for the finest anti-fraction in the flooring industry. Flex Guard / Sound Guard sheeting is a two component, pressure sensitive, elastomeric, 100% solids, proprietary modified butyl adhesive, laminated with polyester blended fabric. Together they form 20 mil (1/32”) self-bonding membrane that is easily applied. No primer needed for interior or exterior applications. Unlike some asphalt based products that lose elasticity over time, Flex Guard / Sound Guard does not have the same break down.
